Our button repairs go far beyond sewing buttons back on (a skill it is worth knowing!).

We can strengthen delicate fabrics to prevent pulls and tears, repair and rework buttonholes, and even make new buttonholes if needed. We also repair and respace button loops and can replace with other fasteners if feasible.

At Splendid Stitches, as well as sewing on dislodged buttons, we can replace missing ones, or change all your buttons for a different look. Sometimes a better fit is achieved with slight movement of buttons, or we can replace buttons with snap fasteners or add snap fasteners if ‘gaping’ occurs.

Buttons really are hugely underrated – they work so hard and deserve a bit of attention.
